Essential Winter Car Kit

Simple items to keep in your car that can make a world of difference should you break down or get stuck in cold weather.
01

De-icer and ice scraper

Keep these in your car so you can always clear your windscreen on those frosty mornings.

02

Head torch

Any good torch will do, but a head torch has the added benefit of keeping both your hands free while illuminating whatever you're looking at. Store it in your glove box so it's always to hand

03

Food and water

Keep some bottled water in the boot and some energy-rich snacks that last, such as oatcakes, in case you’re in your car longer than you planned.

04

Warm clothes

Keep a set of extra clothes in the car at all times, even if you’re just popping to the shops.

05

Sleep bag and pillow

Hope for the best. Plan for the worst. Keeping a blanket or sleeping bag in the car can be a lifesaver if you get stuck overnight.

06

First aid kit

A simple kit with wound dressings, safety pins and antibacterial gel for any minor injuries.

07

Map

If your phone battery runs out or you have no signal, a paper map of the area is your best friend.

08

USB Battery

A simple battery with a USB connection can extend your phone’s life way past when its internal battery would have given up and died.

OWNER'S MANUAL

Don't forget your documents

Make sure you have all the information about your car to hand. Your owner's manual tells you all the essential functions of your car and what to do in an emergency situation. If you need a replacement you can get a paper copy at your local Mitsubishi dealership or download a PDF of your owner's manual.
