4x4 Cars
4X4s Explained
What is a 4x4 car?
Designed to tackle tough off-road conditions as well as tarmac roads, 4x4 cars (also called 4-wheel drive cars) send power to all four wheels. This produces extra grip and increases stability and power on uneven ground and in bad conditions.
The benefits of a 4x4
Plenty of space for passengers and cargo
A lot of 4x4 vehicles are also SUVs. This means they’re typically taller and larger than traditional hatchbacks or saloons. 4x4s tend to be extremely practical, with superb interior space for passengers and cargo.
More reasons to buy a 4x4
A clear view of the road ahead
The four-wheel drive system on a 4x4 makes them safer by increasing grip in slippery conditions like mud or ice. Their taller frame gives drivers a clearer view of the road ahead.
