Shogun Sport Safety

With advanced safety features such as ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control, and you’ve got the perfect blend of easy-to-use on-road and off-road performance that can take you anywhere.

Ultrasonic Misacceleration Mitigation System

Avoid those little bumps

When you’re stationary or moving slower than 6mph, this technology helps prevent an accident if you mistakenly push the accelerator pedal — reducing the likelihood of low-speed impacts while you’re parking or in heavy traffic.

Forward Collision Mitigation System

All eyes ahead

When this intelligent safety system thinks there's a possibility of a collision with a car up ahead, it automatically slows your vehicle down.

Adaptive Cruise Control

A safe distance from vehicles in front

This on board system automatically adjusts the Shogun Sport's speed to maintain a safe distance from vehicles ahead.

Blind Spot Warning

Change lanes and pull out more safely

This system detects vehicles in your blind spot and alerts you with an indicator in your side mirrors, helping to reduce the likelihood of accidents while you’re passing other cars – or when you’re being passed.

Hill Descent Control

Keep in control on steep slopes

Negotiating steep uneven ground? That’s where Hill Descent Control is a huge help. The Shogun Sport will automatically apply the brakes to maintain your current speed, so you can focus your attention on steering.

Active Stability Control

If you have a wobble, the Shogun Sport won't

Active Stability Control (ASC) helps you maintain control. When the system detects a loss in grip, it applies braking force to one or more of the wheels while it automatically adjusts engine output to regain grip.

State of the art reversing camera

Reverse with 360 degree confidence

Never sweat reversing again with the Shogun Sport's reversing system that uses multiple cameras to create a bird's eye view of the space around the car for effortless parking.

Hill Start Assist (HSA)

Never roll backwards

Starting your Shogun Sport on a steep slope? Hill Start Assist makes it easy by keeping the brake on for up to two seconds, until you press the accelerator. You never need to worry about rolling back again.

ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution

No locked brakes

The Shogun Sport's anti-lock brake system (ABS) prevents the wheels from locking up under heavy braking or while braking on slippery road surfaces. This means you can maintain control while avoiding obstructions.

Emergency Stop Signal

Avoid rear-end collisions

The Emergency Stop Signal System reduces the possibility of rear-end collisions. It automatically activates the hazard lights during sudden braking to alert motorists behind you.

Trailer Stability Assist (TSA)

Tow a trailer safely

If the Shogun Sport detects ‘trailer swing’ (when a trailer starts to fishtail during road driving), Trailer Stability Assist automatically controls engine power and the braking force at each wheel to stabilise the vehicle and trailer.

7 SRS Airbag System

All-round protection

To keep you and your passengers safe in the event of a collision, the Shogun Sport is equipped with a 7-airbag system. The front seat occupants are protected by front airbags, plus an additional knee airbag for the driver in the event of a forward collision. In a side collision, the front occupants are protected by side airbags and occupants in both rows are protected by curtain airbags extending along the sides.

Lane Change Assist

Changing lanes made simple

To help you change lanes more safely, sensors in the Shogun Sport monitor the space around you. If vehicles are detected in your blind spot a flashing icon will appear in the corner of your door mirror and a buzzer will sound. That way you can wait until the blind spot is clear before attempting the manoeuvre.
