The Mitsubishi MI-TECH Concept

Unveiled at Tokyo Motor Show 2019, MI-TECH is our new small SUV concept car. A bold retro-futurist design and next generation technology define the MI-TECH, our ambitious off-road concept car.

MI-TECH Concept Design

A design revolution

Sculpted for exploration, the Mitsubishi MI-TECH Concept is a terrain-conquering electric buggy, embodying the adventurous soul of Mitsubishi Motors.

Dynamic Shield Evolved

Sculpted front end design

We've evolved our signature Dynamic Shield front with striking horizontal lines to accentuate the broad face and copper accents in a subtle nod to the electric drive train.

Protective wheel arch extensions

Tackle any terrain

Built to provide optimal mobility on challenging terrain, MI-TECH sports SUV credentials synonymous with Mitsubishi Motors such as the ability to cope with complex, undulated elevation changes.

MI-TECH Lighting

Ultra modern lighting design

Powerful LEDs mean the headlamps can be more compact, a striking sweep perfectly aligned to the sleek top of the front grille, high enough to offer wide road coverage at night.

Compact and Strong

The rear of the MI-TECH repeats the hexagon shape found in the front grille, while a quartet of vents regulate heat and convey the futuristic feel of the car.

MI-TECH Interior

Classic Futurism

A wonderful synergy of ultra-modern aesthetic and classical sensibility, the MI-TECH interior is a clean, simple and surprising. Our honeycomb hexagon patterned dash and minimalist instrument panel give you everything you need and nothing you don't.

Smarter, Safer Driving

MI-TECH also comes equipped with a Human Machine Interface, displaying information detected through advanced optical sensors on an augmented reality (AR) windscreen giving the driver vehicle, traffic and environmental information even in poor visibility.

A new plug-in hybrid SUV

The MI-TECH Concept's power system is a lightweight, compact gas turbine engine-generator, powering the car with a range of fuels such as kerosene and alcohol, supported by electric power.

Traction like no other

Building on its PHEV powertrain experience, MMC has evolved its Super All Wheel Control (S-AWC) integrated vehicle dynamics control system to operate with a Quad Motor 4WD System with front and rear Dual-Motor Active Yaw Control (AYC) units.
